Chromebook Troubleshooting
First, always log off, shut down and then restart. That corrects a lot of issues.

Problems with the Chromebook WiFi Network
First make sure that you have given the network time to load. This may take a few moments. You will see the little pie-slice-shaped WiFi icon pulse and then it will turn white signaling that you have linked to the network. Students should use the secure.
How do I access WiFi off campus?
Turn on Chromebook, but do not log in yet.
Click on WiFi icon (bottom right of screen- diamond shape)
You should see a message "No Network"- select the arrow -- your wireless WiFi network name should appear
Click on your WiFi network
In the box that opens next- The SSID is your WiFi network. Enter your passcode, if passcode protected.
Click Connect.
Next log in using your RSD2 Gmail and network password.
Now try to connect to a website that does not have a RSD2 or Google Connection. For example, you can type in the search bar "Amazon" or "Khan Academy"
A box should open with a request to enter your credentials.
Put in your user name (8 digit student ID # or user name if a teacher) and your network password.
Go to settings>internet>options>network. Address is at the top
Make sure that you allow your Chromebook to update. To check for updates go to the three bars in the corner>About OS or chrome://settings/about
