Private Lessons

Private lessons are a vital and invaluable part of your orchestra education. One-on-one instruction with a qualified professional on your specific instrument reinforces, strengthens and supplements techniques and concepts taught during the school day.  Studying privately can open doors of opportunity for you as a musician.  Being a part of a professional's private studio is just like working with a "special teams" coach ; honing skills that are specific to only the violin, viola, cello, or bass. 

There are a couple of general reasons students and parents choose private lessons:

- Less often reason: Tutoring to bring you up to class expectation

- More often reason: Recommendation to working above and beyond class expectations to prepare for district/region/youth/all-state/college scholarship auditions.
