Book Lists

SUMMER READING

Here is a site that offers a reading list for students in all grades. Click on the grade level that you wish to explore and a book list will be provided. Most books offer a short description and some link to other titles by the same author. New titles are added frequently.

There is also a list of suggested reading tips for parents.

The list is meant to introduce children, and the adults who care for them, to newer books in the field of children's literature.

Well-known classics, such as Beatrix Potter's The Adventures of Peter Rabbit, Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh, Margaret Wise Brown'sGoodnight Moon, and E.B. White'sCharlotte's Web, have not been included, as they are reasonably well-known, enduring masterpieces that every child should know.
