Family Fitness Fun

The National Association for Sport and Physical Education have 99 Tips for Family Fun Fitness Activities. Here are a few.

1. Schedule a regular time throughout the week for your family to do a physical activity.

2. Adapt all activities to suit those with special needs or preferences.

3. Wear loose fitting clothing to permit freedom of movement and wear the proper shoes.

4. Be sure to Warm up, stay flexible by stretching and cool down after your workout.

Activities for outside:

1. Find out where the local parks are that might have a basketball court, tennis court, walking track, or a fun place to play games.

2. Help a neighbor clean up their yard.

3. Shovel snow, build a snow sculpture, snow angel, a snowman, and or a snow fort.

4. Take a walk.

5. Go fly a kite.

6. Ride a bike

7. Jump Rope

8. Play catch with a football, baseball, playground ball.

9. Play frisbee

10. Ride a skate board.

11. Play tag

12. Wash the car

13. Plan a game day at the park

14. Have a picnic with the family and friends

15. Play kickball, kick the can, or have a dance party.
