New Student Registration

If you are new or returning to Pittsfield, Welcome!

Here you will find the resources and directions you need to register your child(ren) in the Pittsfield High School.

Step One: Registration will begin at the Mercer building, 269 First Street in Pittsfield. Call 413-499-9568 for an appointment.

Step Two: Gather the documents you need for your registration appointment:

-Proof of residency-a utility bill with your name preprinted on it, or a copy of your lease or deed

-Birth certificate

-Health and immunization records

-Transcript from past school(s)

-Discipline report from past schools

-MCAS scores (Massachusetts Residents Only)

-Special education or 504 records (if relevant)

-Custody papers (if relevant)

Step Three: Attend your appointment. Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to fill out the registration paperwork. The appointment will last approximately one hour to register your child.

Step Four: It will take 24-48 hours for the registration process to be complete and your child to start school. Contact the PHS guidance office at 413-499-9541 for a time to set up their schedule. They should bring a notebook and pen for their first day. They will start the day with a tour of the building, if they have not had one yet, and will be shown to each of their classes that first day.

Your student will not be able to start school until all the documents in step 2 have been submitted.
