Sketchbooks are HOMEWORK assignments which are turned in at the beginning of class on their due dates.
Sketchbook Assignment Rubric
All sketchbook Assignment will be graded using the following rubric.
Sketchbook contains a foreground and background 5 pts
Sketchbook is creative (student thought out of the box) 5 pts
Student uses good craftsmanship throughout 5 pts
Work handed in on-time 5 pts
Student used the entire sketchbook page 5 pts
Total points 25 pts

Sketchbook Assignments Schedule
· All sketches must be neat and done to the best of your ability!
· Use the entire page! (No small objects in middle of page)
· All due dates are final (In the event of a school closing the assignment is due the next day class meets)
· Sketchbook assignments are 25 points.
Assignment
Create a sketch of something melting and effected by liquid. Show the source that is causing the change in the object(s). Identify shadows, cast cast shadows and the effect of the environment around the object.

Artist of the Month
1. A student in each student group will randomly select artist. (40 pts)
2. Student must create an artist info design in their sketchbook with following information.
a. Name of the artist
b. Artistic era
c. 6 facts about the artist
d. 3 artist quotes
e. 3 sketches of sample works (work the artist is known for)
3. Arrange information in a creative way that connects to the artist personal style.
4. Students will use 10-mins compare notes.
5. Students will share found information with class
