AP Vantage Points
Objective: Students will investigate and present information from a variety of sources to verify ways that cultural value and beliefs, stylistic trends, and technology have influenced artistic preferences in the creation and presentation of art during specific times and places in order to create a vantage point design. (80 points)
3. Student will select from bag 3 vantage point designs that they will create. (Photography students must complete 1 drawing and a series of 6 good photos.)
4. All work (Report and compositions) Due: September 30, 2013 by the end of class.
Written Objective: Students will an analysis of a series of work of art that projects values and beliefs of a specific culture or time period. (60 points)
5. Write an artist report on your finished work. Must be typed, double spaced, 12font, and cited APA style. Print and submit report with finished works.
a. What is the subject of your compositions? Why did you choose this subject? What is the overall message behind your creations?
b. How did you use the elements and principles of design in creating your work?
c. Which master artist would you compare your artwork to and why. Give examples of their work in comparison.
d. Do you feel your work is successful? Why or why not support your answer.

Breadth 14: Do some exploration with mixed media. Do a piece (portrait, self-portrait, landscape, or still life) in which you use at least 3 different media - i.e., a wet medium, a dry medium, and some collage elements.
