Expectations for Civil Behavior in the Classroom
Attend class regularly.
Always follow the school uniform policy.
Be a responsible young adult. Be prepared for learning with all appropriate materials.
Pay attention at all times and ask for permission to speak or to leave your seat.
Be courteous. Avoid talking while the teacher or another student is presenting information.
Use positive and caring language when you speak.
Respect and care for your school environment, eating only in the cafeteria (gum, water and sunflower seeds included).
Respect and care for yourself, all items in the room, and your classmates.
Act appropriately for the situation.
No Bathroom, hall, or any passes entire 1st period, 2nd period, and no pass first and last 20 minutes of class or after 3:30pm.
Consequences for Violations of Behavior Expectations
Verbal warning - Detention
Conference – teacher(s) and student
Parent notification – phone call, e-mail, letter, etc.
Referral to the administrator
