Tool Quizzes

The following tool quizzes must be completed prior to students using tools: Written Quizzes Due Dec. 8th and Hands-On Quizzes Due Dec. 15th

1. Completion of the written and performance tool quizzes will count as 3 daily grades.
2. "Written" quizzes should be completed outside of class. Repeat as necessary until 100% is achieved.
3. Class time will be given to tool performance quizzes. Students not passing on first attempt will need to schedule time outside of class for retakes with instructors.
4. Until tool quizzes are passed students should expect to have their work contributions limited for reasons of safety.
5. If all tool quizzes are not completed by assigned deadline students will be awarded credit based on percentage of quizzes completed.
6. If you have taken and passed written and performance quizzes for previous classes in the 2017-18 school year, that credit will be applied to the rover class. If you have taken the performance quizzes, but not been approved for independent use, or met the upper school standard for a particular tool it is strongly recommended that you retake the performance quiz prior to the Dec. 15th deadline.
7. Study Materials can be found in the OnCampus System under Resources and the Design Den group and also at Tool Safety and Resource Website

• Band Saw
• Laser Cutter
• Welder
• Angle Grinder
• Plasma Cutter
• Metal Band Saw (written only - will train as needed)
• CNC Router (written only - will train as needed)
• Metal Chop Saw
• Miter Saw (wood chop saw)
• Hand Held Drill
• Bench Grinder
• Hand Held Band Saw/Metal Band Saw
• Hot Glue Gun (written only)
• Soldering (telemetry team only)
