What is the EU?

The idea was born after World War II

The EU is a democratic organisation, where are 28 member states. All countries are diverse by culture, history, language and much more.

In the EU all states languages are official, because the EU laws are for every member country, and people have the right to know them without learning other language.

The European Union has made connections with it´s member countries:

European citizens have the right to learn and work in every other European country, because of the freedom of movement. Thanks to Erasmus+ project, it´s much easier for students to learn in other country.

Although there are differences by how rich different countries are, the EU is helping poorer states financially.

Thanks to European single market, trade between the EU countries is increased. Flying prices and calls from abroad are cheaper, because EU has abolished national monopolies. With European Health Insurance Card the health insurance is covered in EU countries.
