Debate

The debate I prepared for and participated in was titled "Human Dignity in the light of the European Migrant Crisis", and it was value-based. At home, the tasks I did to prepare for the debate were: watching videos, researching info about the debate topic, creating an example of the debate speech, reading the input materials and studying the structure of the debate speech. On the spot, we all brainstormed the motion, and divided our tasks as to which parts of the speech each of my group had to do. Also, we got ideas from the opening speech drafts that we had created at home. I learned that debating isn´t easy as you have to be sure that what you write is true. I had to find proof to prove my point. I learned to think both ways at the same time - as a person who supports the motion, and as a person who is against it. Most important is that I practiced English.
