The Plaine Hill/Woodstock Common walk begins at the Woodstock Historical Society and travels 1.5 miles and back along the Common and Old Hall Road to Pulpit Rock and Eliot Rock.Click on the map (left) to enlarge.A sample of views along the walk is shown right (click to enlarge).
2. Rapoport/ Spaulding Preserve

The walk along the old Calkins Road (closed to vehicles) leads into the woodland along the beaver pond on Taylor Brook.
The Rapoprt/Spaulding Preserve on Pulpit Rock Road lies along the route of the Old Connecticut Path as mapped by Ellen Larned on the "Map of Ancient Windham County".
