General Rules
Always wear your safety glasses
The jig saw is mainly used for , interior, circular, and detailed cutting. Similar to a scroll saw but hand held.
When using the saw remember the teeth are pointing up.
When making an interior cut, make sure to drill a hole in the piece first. This way you will not have to enter from the side of the stock.
Make sure the base/shoe is adjusted to the proper angle of your cut. 90*-45*
When choosing a blade remember that the less teeth on the blade the rougher the finish it will leave. The more teeth the smoother
The narrower the blade, the easier it will be to cut curves.
The variable speed is used to change the speed of the cut. Faster speed for wood, slower for plastics.
