For Teachers and NREA members:
- Under the new salary schedule there are opportunities for graduate credit and North Reading University credit.
- Since credits are a form of compensation they may only be earned beyond the school day.
- North Reading University Credits are tracked through My Learning Plan on the College Course forms (yellow).
- North Reading University Credits are subject to pre-approval through MLP and are based upon the following guidelines.
- Pre-approved graduate coursework appropriate to the teaching assignment = 1 salary credit for each graduate credit. eg. a 3 credit graduate course = 3 credits
- Inservice credits may also be provided and offered through sign up in the district catalog.
For non-Teachers (who have the language in their contracts):
Since credits are a form of compensation they may only be earned beyond the school day.
Please use the yellow form for graduate courses.
Please use the Red form to request NR credit for approved activities:
6 contact hours plus 4 additional hours = 10 hours/PDPs and 1 NR credit
12 contact hours plus 4 additional hours= 16 hours/PDPs and 2 NR credits
18 contact hours plus 4 additional hours= 22 hours/PDPs and 3 NR credits
