Creating a Persuasive Environmental Current Event Film
(Documentary, commercial, news reporter, etc…)
This is a good overview of how we will be creating a persuasive film.
Persuasive Environmental Preview Project Brainstorming films. Watch and learn from samples of persuasive media that deal with environmental films. We will do this and take notes on the qualities and weaknesses seen in these projects.

Research your video: What is and how to format a bibliography. As you begin to figure out what your project will be, it will be good for you to do research for information, still pictures/graphics, video, audio and other media to create your project. This should be recorded on a shared google doc as you go to be more efficient in making your media project.
PERSUASIVE BASIC FILM SCRIPT FORMATTING. Next you will begin to write a script of your story. See these examples and then begin creating your script using a Google doc. Share it with your partner and Mr. Sayer. You will need to add the following as seen on the explanation page:
Headings
Narrative Description
Dialogue
Storyboard. Planning your video project is essential to tell a good story that is organized and make sense. Using a storyboard is like creating a comic book version where you consider the visuals with the audio whether they are narration, music, sound effects, etc… along with the best, most effective angles to show your visuals. A storyboard will also allow you to consider the best sequence of your information and visuals. For example, it does not make sense to discuss how a hot air balloon flies before the audience knows what a hot air balloon is.
Persuasive- Shot List and samples. As you are creating your story and script, you will need to include visuals and other media such as graphics and audio. To do this in an organized way, you will create a shotlist that is used to organize a to do list of media resources you will need to accumulate for your story. As you find them, you can check them off the list as done.
Final Evaluation & reviewing in groups: Persuasive Environmental Project Review. After the project is done, we as a class will watch each others projects and learn from each other how their projects turned out. Each student will take notes on each project looking for strengths and weaknesses. We can learn a tremendous amount their successes and failures.
