Employee Change of Status Procedure
Staff leaving the district, changing positions or taking a leave of absence
Ownership of Google files: The staff member and their supervisor should determine if there are any documents or calendars that should have the ownership transferred to another staff member before leaving. The staff member should make the necessary ownership changes. Google Transfer of Ownership
Access to all district accounts will be removed on the last day of the staff member working in the district (not the last day of employment). Exceptions must be approved by supervisor/superintendent and the tech dept. notified. Staff should transfer out of their accounts any data they own and would like to take with them Google Takeout
If the staff member has a Facebook page or other social media representing the school/district, the ownership must be transferred or the page deleted.
Staff leaving the district permanently or taking leaves of absences are expected to turn in all district-owned equipment/devices on the last working day in the district. Devices remaining with staff on leaves of absences or with non-returning staff must be approved by the Superintendent and Director of Technology.
Staff changing positions are expected to turn in all district-owned equipment/devices before beginning the new position. Reassignment of device(s) will be made based on the new job assignment and location and the employee contacted by the Technology Department.
