Google Meets

Google Hangouts is now Google Meets! Google has streamlined their video conferencing to make it easier to meet remotely with people within and outside the district. You must use Chrome browser or the app on your mobile device and  it only takes about 10 minutes to get started with Google Meets so, please take a look at the Google Help Center Training on Google Meets by clicking the picture below:

Want to see your students and what you are presenting at the same time?

Use Chrome - Window - Tile Window to Left/Right of Screen to create two windows on your desktop and select to present either one or the other or your entire screen.

1.Open up your meet call, then open a new window,

2. In the top left corner of the window that’s currently open, click and hold the green circle with outward-facing arrows

3. From the menu that appears select Tile Window to Left of Screen or Tile Window to Right of Screen. The window will fill the selected area

4. On the vacant half of the screen select the second window that you would like to be open (the presentation)

5. In Meet, tap present, a chrome tab, select your presentation

6. You should be able to view all students in your Meet call while presenting your presentation in the other window.

You need to have Grid view (fix) extension enabled.

This also works great using the ipevo doc camera with visualizer software for one of the windows - you can see what you are presenting with the doc camera and your students at the same time.
