It is important to use your school accounts for all work communications. 

Your RSU40 Google Mail account is managed as a Google Education Domain, which is different than a private Gmail. Federal law and district policy requires archiving all school business correspondence and records- this is necessary in case there is legal action.

Services such as Facebook Messenger, private cell messaging (texting), etc. should not be used to communicate school business with students, families, other staff members, or outside parties. These non-work correspondence methods are not archived, and should legal actions need to be taken they cannot be provided by the district.

Use your school email for school work and, if you have one, a private email for your personal communications. You may be logged into multiple Google accounts at one time - in order to make sure you are in the correct account, always check in the upper right corner to see that you are logged into your school account when doing school business. Some staff members reserve Chrome for their school account and use Safari or FIrefox to access a personal account.

Conversation Setting - do you want to group emails by conversation or separately? This is a personal preference but remember that with conversation setting, that the newest mail may not always be at the top.
