Sixteen-Year-Old Hired For Internship With Intel

Reuters Business Report - Meet Joe Hudy.

He's the engineering whiz kid who spoke with President Obama last year at the White House Science Fair.

Marshmallows flew across the room, thanks to Hudy's homemade air cannon.

U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA,

"It came out pretty fast."

Now 16 years-old, Hudy has been hired as an intern at Intel, usually reserved for outstanding college students.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, SAYING:

"You shot yourself with the marshmallow?!"

JOE HUDY,

"At 15 PSI."

He's the youngest person to ever secure the role. He'll be working in the "New Devices Group" product development department, according the company.

Demonstrating the tools of the trade, Hudy has made Arduino microcontroller boards, and a solar-powered computer for another science fair.

It's no surprise he's "one of the 10 smartest kids in the world" according to Brilliant.org.
