Gamers Gear Up For Next Epic Battle

Now that all three major gaming consoles have been updated and pricing revealed - the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft's Xbox One and the Nintendo Wii U prepare to do battle this holiday season.

Gamers at the annual E3 video game convention in Los Angeles were impressed but uncommitted.Chris Chavira is undecided.

CHRIS CHAVIRA, E3 ATTENDEE:

"The PS4 looks like it could be really good and the Xbox looks like it could be really good, even though the Xbox is getting a bit of criticism with their opening thing but I don't think it looks bad at all. I think I'm going to wait until they come out and try them both and see which one I like better."

The Wii's underwhelming upgrade came last year - but it's still in the game, says Martin Rae, president of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, thanks to a host of characters anchored by the still popular Mario Brothers, part of Nintendo's IP or intellectual property.

MARTIN RAE, PRESIDENT, ACADEMY OF INTERACTIVE ARTS & SCIENCES:

"Some people say Nintendo, their hardware may not be up to snuff with new consoles or whatever. They have a great library so, don't discount them. They're the Disney of our space and they've got great IP so that's going to be really good."

All the consoles have been upgraded to better tap into the Internet for content and other forms of entertainment like streaming movies, but that's not what really matters, reminds gamer Greg Walus.

GREG WALUS, E3 ATTENDEE:

"Any game system, it comes down to the games. Sure you've got cool features, peripherals, but it all comes down to games."

And price- The Sony PlayStation 4 will sell for about 400 bucks - $100 less than the new Microsoft Xbox One. A souped up version of the Wii U sells right in the middle at $350.00.
