Course Overview
In this course we will look at the many integrated features of the Google Docs package. With the advent of “Cloud Computing” Google docs/G-mail is one of the most commonly used software packages world wide. The course requires a high degree of “self-initiative” to be successful and produce a good product.
You should look at your work as a representation of the best you can be. Many items you produce will be viewable by people around the world. This means you will need to put in a serious organized effort to do well in this course. If you feel you need extra assistance I will be glad to help you. We are on the same team and we share the responsibility of being successful.
What is expected of you:
Step up and take the initiative.
All work is due on the “Due Date”. Late work is not accepted for full credit. Late work is not part of a successful plan
If you are absent, you may turn the work in the same number of days late you were absent
It is your responsibility to find out what you missed
Be on time for class
Stay in your seat until the bell rings
Come to class ready and prepared to learn
What works:
Take notes – You may use any notes you take in class or from the textbook on any test or quiz that I will be giving. You must have your notes with you when class begins.
Get involved and solve problems
Take intellectual risks and learn from the process of solving problems
Turn everything in regardless of how you think you did
Ask Questions
Things that Don’t Work:
Asking to go to your locker after class begins
Asking to go to the restroom as soon as class begins
Not taking the initiative to be prepared for class (have your materials, textbook, etc…)
Trying to guess how little you have to do to pass the class
