Course Overview
Unlike "Entrepreneurship" this is a full year course that will enable students to earn an industry-Recognized Credential. An industry-recognized credential is a verification of an individual’s qualification or competence. A third party with authority (U.S. Department of Labor, 2010) issues a credential. Industry-recognized credentials are valued in the labor market and are a validation of knowledge and skills. They can take many forms, including certifications, certificates, and licenses.
In this course we will look at the many aspects of creating, starting, planning and operating a Business including finance, consumer behavior and general business theories and practices. In addition to what was covered in the Entrepreneurship semester class we will cover marketing, accounting and financial concepts, risk management and ethics.
The course will require you to read, be curious and ask questions. Discussion and debate will only add to the experience! If you feel you need extra assistance I will be glad to help you. We are on the same team and we share the responsibility of being successful.
