2025 Night Hike

Yuan Ching Cougar Scout Unit will be conducting the Annual Night Hike and Promotion Ceremony from 25 to 26 April 2025.

The following are the objectives of Night Hike:

1. Scouts to apply the five habits of mind and SPICES framework during the hike.

2. Scouts learn more about the heritage and involvement in the society, past and present at the various cultural locations along the routes.

3. Scout to apply navigation skills and their senses while maneuvering in poor lighting conditions.

4. Promote bonding among the scouts.

Programme Overview of Night Hike cum Promotion Ceremony:

Day 1: 25 April 2025 (Friday)

2000H: Assemble at School

2145H: Proceed to Start Point for the Night Hike

Day 2: 26 April 2025 (Saturday)

0600H: Return to School from Night Hike

0700H: Breakfast

0800H: Promotion Ceremony

1000H: Dismiss

THINGS TO PACK 

1) Full Scout Uniform with head dress - For promotion ceremony.

2) Water bottle (1.5 litre) with water

3) Poncho

4) Journal + Pen

5) Tissue (dry & wet) and small towel

6) Snacks / Sweets (small items that you can munch on while walking)

7) Insect repellent

8) Hand sanitiser 

9) Cash ($10) + EZ-link card 

10) Personal Medication (if any - do inform your PL if you have to take medication )
