Things to note:
Equipment Check
As we are camping in a school setting, there will be no logistics that we can rent in the event of faulty equipment. Do ensure that your tents and cooking equipment are functional.
Please assist to pack your cooking equipment into a Toyogo box and label all your equipment with your unit name prior to the camp.
Participant's readiness
Before the camp starts, participants should:
Complete the pre-camp module on Leadership and Patrol System conducted by Unit Leaders. The slides has been shared to all Unit Leaders.
Be proficient in basic core scouting skills, including:
Knots and Lashing (Square, Diagonal, Figure of 8)
Outdoor Cooking (Starting a fire, fire safety, cooking using a mess tin)
Stove Cooking (Kitchen hygiene, knife safety, basic cooking techniques like stir fry and boiling)
Orienteering (Map Reading and MGR)
Do ensure that youpack according to the individual packing lists as well. Day bag and 1.5L water bottle is mandatory; the weather is has been very hot and humid these days and having sufficient water is crucial 😊
Collection of Valuables
Valuables of the participants should be collected and managed by the Unit Leaders.
