WEST AREA FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025
We are delighted to invite you to the West Area Founder's Day 2025 Celebrations.
Founder's Day, celebrated annually on 22nd February, commemorates the birthday of Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting. This year, we are organising a special event, a Family Day, to bring together Scouts from across the West Area – from Cubs to Rovers and Leaders – for a morning of fun, learning, and camaraderie. The celebration will be held at Jurong Lake Gardens (South Car Park Area) and Japanese Garden and is a wonderful opportunity for all West Area units to come together and celebrate our Scouting spirit.
Highlights of the Celebrations:
A Commemorative Hike: Embark on a memorable hike through the scenic Jurong Lake and Japanese Gardens to learn about their unique features.
Engaging Activities: Participate in exciting Scouting games and challenges and make new friends.
Opening Ceremony: Join us for a celebratory opening ceremony to mark this special occasion.
Unit-Led Activities: Units will have the opportunity to put up carnival booths that can bring out the significance of the Scouting spirit as well as foster teamwork and leadership skills among participants. Please refer to Annex C.
This event serves as the first lead-up event for the SG60 Singapore International Jamboree in November 2025, offering a valuable opportunity for Scouts to connect with their peers beyond their unit or school.
