Below is an outline of work in preparation for this subject:

• Buy a notebook for your classwork and homework and a display folder to keep handouts organized

• Make sure you have a working scientific (not CAS) calculator.

• Bookmark the McK Physics website

• Understanding the requirements for Units 3 & 4 as set out in the VCAA study design

Set work during Orientation Week (24-28 Nov 2025)

• Make a one-page summary of the content in Chapter 2.1 Newton's law of motion of the Heinemann Physics 12 5e textbook

• Complete the "Try yourself" questions 2.1.1 (p.64), 2.1.2 (p.65) and 2.1.3 (p.67) in the Heinemann textbook

• Complete the 2.1 key questions Q1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8-10 (pp.68-69) in the Heinemann textbook

• Complete Q1-15 of the Unit 3 Physics: Applying Newton's Laws worksheet (note: Q16-17 are extension questions only)
