Below you will find lesson resources for each of the kindergarten digital citizenship standards from the 2022 Technology Application TEKS.
Digital citizenship-- social interactions. The student identifies appropriate ways to communicate in various digital environments. The student is expected to identify and demonstrate responsible behavior within a digital environment.
K.5 I can be responsible online.
Seesaw Lesson: Bean Goes on the Internet Students will discuss what the internet is and how to make safe choices on the internet.
Nearpod Lesson: Pausar y pensar en línea In this Spanish version of the Common Sense lesson on Digital Citizenship, students learn the "Pause & Think Online" song, to remember basic digital citizenship concepts in order to help them leverage technology safely, responsibly, and ethically.
Digital citizenship-- ethics and laws. The student recognizes and practices responsible, legal, and ethical behavior while using digital tools and resources. The student is expected to
(A) demonstrate acceptable use of digital resources and devices as outlined in local policies or acceptable use policy (AUP); and
(B) communicate an understanding that all digital content has owners.
K.6A I can follow the rules when using my device.
K.6B I can understand things on the computer belong to someone.

Digital citizenship-- privacy, safety, and security. The student practices safe, legal, and ethical digital behaviors to become a socially responsible digital citizen. The student is expected to
(A) identify ways to keep a user account safe, including not sharing login information and logging off accounts and devices; and
(B) identify and discuss what information is safe to share online such as hobbies and likes and dislikes and what information is unsafe such as identifying information.
K.7A I can keep my username and password private & log off devices when I’m done.
K.7B I can identify and discuss what information is safe to share online and what information is unsafe to share online.
Seesaw Lesson: Bean's Digital Footprint on the Internet Students will discuss how to be aware of their digital footprint on the internet.
