The Global Seal of Biliteracy is an international credential that conveys proficiency with language skills in two or more languages for our qualifying candidates. The Global Seal of Biliteracy enables programs across the world to quickly validate a student’s language skills to provide recognition, appropriate and or advanced placement in a language program, and even help earn scholarships and job opportunities. 

The Global Seal of Biliteracy allows employers to easily verify our students’ language skills and be confident that they possess valuable soft skills linked to language learners.  We believe language credentials will result in pay differentials and increased employment
opportunities for bilinguals. The Global Seal of Biliteracy is serial-numbered and can be added to a resume or LinkedIn under "Licenses & Certifications.”

The Global Seal of Biliteracy accepts multiple qualifying tests to receive this credential. Our program applies on behalf of qualifying candidates for the Global Seal of Biliteracy certification and will handle the logistics of getting each recipient their Global Seal if they have qualifying test results. The Global Seal is and will be FREE for all.

The Seal of Biliteracy recognizes that an individual has attained a certain level of proficiency in two or more languages. A Seal of Biliteracy is typically awarded in the form of a certificate and can be used as a credential to convey an individual’s proficiency in two or more languages.

What can I do with the Global Seal?

Your Global Seal has the opportunity to open many doors for you. Here are some suggestions on how to leverage your new language credential:

●  Add your Global Seal certificate with its unique serial number to your resume and LinkedIn profile to distinguish your exceptional language abilities.

●  When applying to a college or university, notify them of your Global Seal of Biliteracy credential, as we have had many previous awardees receive scholarships and advanced placement through their college or university based on their Global Seal.

●  In conversations with university admissions officers, ask about competency-based credit or advanced placement, based upon your certified language proficiency.

●  Consider your Global Seal of Biliteracy not just an award, but a certification of your language skills. On an application, include it as a Skill or Credential.

●  Add your certification to your email signature:  “Global Seal Certified: (Working) Fluency - (Language)”

●  Be sure to discuss your language skills in a job interview. Be prepared to share what you can do bilingually in the context of the position you’re seeking.
