Chickpea Pizza & Cupcakes by Frank
Today at Technology, I will be evaluating my chickpea pizza with chicken and bacon. For our dessert, we had chickpea and chocolate chip cupcakes.
The positives were both products cooked well, tasted good and we had good ingredients. There was one exception - the cupcakes didn't rise, causing them to look strange. This was because we didn't put enough mixture in each case. A skill we demonstrated was independence because we found the recipe ourselves and made it with minimal help from an adult.
Something I would improve is adding self-rising flour so the cupcakes would be more fluffy and tasty.
If I made this again, I would add fruit or maybe homemade ice cream to go with it.
What went wrong was that we burnt two of the pizzas, even though we saved them, they still tasted worse than the ones we did not burn. I did not like the chicken on the pizza because it was a bit dry.
I would make both of these again; the taste was good, and the cook time was perfect. A skill I'm still learning is mixing, and I could get better. I know I could improve it by doubling the recipe.
Baked Apples by Ruby
Today I made cinnamon apples with a mango sorbet. I worked very well with Rosie.
I learnt that you never melt chocolate in a microwave for more than 1 minute.
My baked apples looked nice and soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. They smelled very nice, just like our attributes -cinnamon, mango, and coconut. They tasted like we were on a tropical island eating a delicious dessert.
We completely met our texture attribute with our mango being smooth and creamy. Also our apple was crisp on the outside, nice and soft on the inside. I wouldn't do anything different because I loved the result.
