The event ROBOBusiness: Robotic Conference was held on September 23 to 24 at San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA.
There were various high-ranking speakers in the field of engineering and technology out there and we made use of this event to see if we can get something out of it.
Our goal is to communicate with the professionals out there, reach out for them to seek opportunities for our fellow future engineers... and that's what we did.
Check out the pictures and videos below to see what we've encountered on this exciting event!
There were countless interesting mechs and people who were more than willing to explain the things that they were working on with their project or respective companies.
--------------------------
First on our list: Here's Relay... he's an autonomous robot that, just as his name suggests, relays items between people. His first application was in the hospitality industry, relaying items from staff to guests.
He was made by a company called Savioke. If you're interested in working with him, be sure to check out their website to see any job listings that are available!

Then we have Otto, a self-driving vehicle for material transport. He can handle up to 1 metric tonne of mass and still maintain a decent pace for delivery. He mostly works on warehouses and production plants. Check out their site if you're down for something interesting : Otto Motors.
--------------------------
Then we have this robot, whom I had limited information on since I didn't find it quite as interesting as the rest.
--------------------------
Then we have this robot: Same concept as the previous one, only with the face included.
--------------------------
Finally, we have this robot that replaces your child's friends and playmates. It was created by Avatarmind. founded with the goal of creating intelligent humanoid robots to serve as helpers and companion robots. Their dream is to create robots that live in harmony with ordinary people and improve their everyday lives.

Here's a running robot by SRI to cheer you up a bit more! :)
