About Me

Hello! I am excited to be the counselor at LGHS. If you are wondering about my background, it is actually in science. I graduated from Ardmore High School in 1986, then graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a BS in Education - Science and minor in Mathematics in 1990. I taught science at Ardmore High School for 8 years. While teaching, I completed a M.Ed. in School Counseling through ECU in 1995. I left AHS to teach physics at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, and became Counselor and Student Services Coordinator during my 12 years at Southern Tech. To be closer to home, I accepted the high school counselor position at Lone Grove High School in 2010. My husband and I live near Ringling, and we have three children ages 24, 22, and 20.
