This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for importing data into LACES. Whether you're importing new student records, adding assessment results, or recording program outcomes, this process helps you complete bulk data tasks efficiently and with greater accuracy.
By following these instructions, you'll save time, reduce manual entry, and avoid common formatting or validation issues during file-based imports.
You can initiate imports from either:
The Imports link in the Additional Menu, or
The Import Data option in relevant sections like Students, All Assessments, etc.
Navigate to your desired import area and click the Import Data action link.
Choose the appropriate import type (e.g., Students, Credentials, Class Hours, etc.) from the dropdown.
💡 Tip! Each import type in LACES includes a downloadable template. Use this template to properly structure your data and reduce formatting errors.
These areas provide key information, including:
How records will be matched and updated
