Values for the integration IDs may be imported for an existing student. This import ONLY displays in clients/agencies who are integrated with 3rd party vendors.
Fields display in the student record at the Education tab/Education panel that correspond to the assessment integration used by the client or agency. It is important to understand that the ID will be added to the LACES student record automatically the first time the student appears on the assessment integration import file as an exact match. This ID is then used to match the student for subsequent assessment imports, even if other student data is changed in either LACES or the 3rd party vendor, such as last name or address. Because the ID is automatically added, there is no need to import the IDs into LACES, unless the agency has the ID and simply wants to add it to the student record before the first integrated import.
Clients/agencies who are integrated with Burlington English should import the BE Username. The BE Username is used for exact matching but is NOT automatically added to the LACES student record from the integrated import file the first time a student appears.
The import file may be imported at the SEA or the local agency by one or all of the following student IDs.
Student ID
Student External ID
Student Unique ID
SSN
The import will match on a valid ID from the student record. This means that if you have a valid Student ID on the import file, but an invalid Student Unique ID (one that does not exist in any student record) on the same row, the record will import based on the valid Student ID and ignore the invalid Student Unique ID.Â
