Tablets

Please send your child’s tablet and charger to school every day. Tablets need to be charged and ready for digital lessons daily. Please remind your child to put on the lid to the Otter Box when the tablet is not in use. I had a few tablets come to school last week where the tablet screen was not covered.

Your child will be given a purple drawstring bag this week to keep tablet, charger, and eLearning folder in. (eLearning folders will be ready later this quarter.) The purple drawstring bag is to be carried inside your child’s backpack to and from school. Please do not mark or draw on the purple drawstring bag. (The bags were purchased by the Lanesville PTSO. Please support PTSO by attending meetings or volunteering at their events. PTSO does a lot for our school.)

Remind and Seesaw

Thank you to the parents that signed-up for Remind and Seesaw. Remind is a way I will communicate with my parents this year. This is a quick and simple way to send a message that is delivered in seconds. Seesaw is a multimedia journal that allows students to showcase what they're learning at school. Throughout the school year, Seesaw builds an organized, digital portfolio of each student's learning, accessible by teacher, student, and parent. Parents that are not signed-up by Wednesday of this week for Remind and/or Seesaw will be given another set of instructions on how to set up accounts. Sign-up ASAP...you don’t want to miss messages and your child’s digital portfolio.

Classroom Website

My classroom website is at https://sites.google.com/a/lanesville.k12.in.us/bryant/home. Please check it frequently to keep up with what is happening in your child’s classroom and upcoming school events. A link for my website is located on your child’s tablet on screen #1. I will be posting information on this site and not sending home newsletters in paper form.

Snacks

Students may bring a snack and a water (in a leak proof container) to school for an afternoon break. Please send in healthy non-sugary snacks. Snacks are not normally provided for students that do not bring one from home.
