Tablets and eLearning Days

Post date: Nov 21, 2015 8:02:31 PM

All first graders will start taking home their tablets everyday after Thanksgiving break*. This way we will always be prepared for an unexpected school cancellation and can have an eLearning day. Chargers will be sent home too. It will be your responsibility to keep your child's tablet charged (90% or higher) and returned to school each day for classroom use. Homework on the tablets will not be assigned daily so most days the tablet can stay in your child's backpack. Please remember these tablets are for educational purposes and should be taken care of and not used as a toy. Keep the tablet in the Otter Box to help protect it from damage. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about the tablets.

If school is closed due to bad weather we will have school via eLearning unless notified otherwise . Lanesville Schools will have a tech support line for parents and students encountering problems on eLearning days. Please email www.support@lanesville.k12.in.us.

*Your child's tablet and charger will be sent home in a 2 gallon ziploc bag to help protect it and to keep the tablet and charger together. Please return both to school in the ziploc bag each day. If you pack a lunch for your child, make sure nothing is leaking or could create condensation in your child's backpack. The tablet and charger need to be kept moisture free.
