Instrument Rental
French Horns, Oboes, Bassoons, Euphoniums, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, and Tuba may be rented through the school for $120 a year. All other instrument choices need to be rented through a local music store. If your child will be playing an instrument you currently own, please make sure that it is in playing condition by taking it to a music store as soon as possible. Students playing percussion need to rent a percussion combo kit (bells and practice pad) for home use in addition to paying the $75 school percussion usage fee.
If you would like to rent a school instrument an email to a Mr. Weiss at weissn@kmsd.edu will reserve your instrument.
White House of Music rents quality, name-brand instruments and will repair and service them if you need it. They offer online ordering and will deliver the instrument to school for your child's first class. Please visit the link below to learn more.
We highly recommend against purchasing an instrument online through a retailer such as Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc. since most of the "cheap" instruments that are sold are made poorly, often break easily, and end up needing more repairs to get in playable condition than quality instruments from our local stores.
