Feel free to contact me any time if you are in need of some other resources or support! I'm happy to do some research if needed, to find the perfect fit for your family's needs.
Jefferson Center for Mental Health - provides family and child counseling services, accepts Medicaid. Be sure to watch their website for free classes and conferences!
Animal Assisted Therapy - Sometimes traditional therapy isn't everyone's cup of tea, and they benefit from the presence of a companion animal in order to really process what they are working on. AAT of Colorado provides services for just about everyone. They have a scholarship program for families with financial need.
Love & Logic - If you are interested in parenting classes, these come highly recommended from many families. Be sure to track the AAT website above, because they have offered half-off discounts on their classes in the past. If you don't mind a drive, you can consider Families First's classes. They also have a Love & Logic series for a lower cost.
Judi's House - Like adults, children are deeply affected when someone dies. Every child experiences grief differently and Judi's House provides counseling to children who are grieving a loss. Please contact me if you are interested in having Judi's House come provide services at our school! With enough interest [6 families], a group can be run at school by a grief counseling expert! In the event that there are not enough families, you can contact Judi's House about private or group counseling at their location.
Family Tree - a community resource that helps stabilize families that are experiencing homelessness or supports family members that are working to leave homes with domestic violence.
Clothes to Kids - a community resource that helps qualifying families obtain gently used clothing. You have the opportunity to "shop" at their location. If you don't meet their automatic qualification requirements, please contact me so I can write you a referral letter!
Serving Kids - if transportation is an issue, this is a resource that provides gently-used clothing to families, and delivers directly to the school. You'll need a staff member to complete the referral form, so please contact me so I can get it completed for you right away!
Community Table - a community resource that helps families in need of supplemental food. You can visit the food pantry 12x/year. You'll need mail proving you live in the service area and a photo ID.
Jeffco Community & Family Connections - If your family is experiencing a time of need, this list may prove useful in finding additional resources. Please contact me and I can connect you with the district coordinator that serves families in our area; they will be able to meet with or call you to connect your family to resources that can help with transportation to school, housing assistance, medicaid/SNAP applications, and so on.
