Talking with students about violence...

The Colorado School Safety Resource Center has shared these suggestions on talking with students about school violence [such as the most recent heartbreaking event in Connecticut]. Times like these, students will have questions and need reassurance, and it is up to the adults in their lives to help them process this information. I'm attaching the resources from the CSSRC for your review. I anticipate that many of the older students will want to talk about this or have questions, so I have left time in my lesson plans for this.
