Day 3: (8/31-9/1)

1. Warm Up - Complete Gallery Walk Reflection Sheet in Breakout rooms.

2. Multicultural Project:

   1. Project Introduction & Choose your location (Use the Destination Location sign up sheet)

   2. What kind of person becomes a scientist? Assignment (ONLY SLIDES 1-5)

3. Ticket Out: Post Scientist Creation on your Classroom Jamboard (See What kind of person becomes a scientist? Slide 5)

CLASSROOM JAMBOARDS: Period 1 Period 5 Period 6

Day 4: (9/2-9/3)

1. Warm Up: Choose Country and Person of Science/Focus (Destination Location Sign Up Sheet)

2. Finish What kind of person becomes a scientist? (Slides 6-12)

3. Begin to Research your country: Use the Decorate Your Vehicle Sheet (5 items)

4. Homework/Ticket Out: Create a paper Airplane over the weekend and post a picture on our classroom Jamboard

1st day of Hybrid In-Person Learning!!

Day 5: (9/8-9/9)

1. Warm Up: In the Stream- Write your Country and 2 items you researched last class.

2. Continue to Research your country: Use the Decorate Your Vehicle Sheet

-Emphasize Researching the Science or Scientific Person of your chosen country.

3. In-Person: Create a your Cultural Paper Airplane for the project

REMOTE LEARNERS: Complete the Measuring Activity Worksheet

IN-PERSON Students Airplane Lab: Create Your Paper Airplane (Use the templates below)

Advanced Planes Beginner Planes Intermediate Planes

Day 6: (9/10-9/11)

1. Warm Up: In the stream, post your country and Person of Science/Focus (Destination Location Sign Up Sheet)

2. In -Person Students: Create your Airplane and Test it!!!

Remote Students Finish Measuring Activity and Turn in. (Must be started to do the airplane lab)

3. Any In-Person Students must complete the Measuring Activity BEFORE starting the lab.

4. Both In-Person & Remote Learners - How Long Will it Take? Lab (Measure the speed of your paper airplane)

5. Ticket Out: Post your Speed Data on the Airplane Lab Jamboard

Day 7: (9/14-9/15)

1. Warm Up: Post your speed data from the airplane lab on the Airplane Lab Jamboard.

2. Measuring Activity (Day 2): Check your work and re-submit

3. Airplane Lab (Day 2): Calculate the time it takes your airplane to go from Denver to the capital of your country.

4. Begin Rough Draft of your Desination Postcard and Turn in Progress

5. Homework/Ticket Out: Jamboard Post the time it takes your airplane to go from Denver to the capital of your country.

Day 8: (Sept. 16-17)

1. Warm Up (IN THE STREAM for attendance): Make a comparison of your data to one that is similar and one that is different.

2. FINISH Airplane Lab calculations and Measuring Activity if needed.

3. Begin Rough Draft of your Destination Postcard and Turn in Progress TODAY

4. Homework/Ticket Out: Begin your FINAL DRAFT of the Multicultural project Destination Postcard.

a. Determine the style of your final product- digital or paper version

b. Begin to create, decorate the postcard and airplane. Digital products should be taking an image of the airplane.

c. Review the rubric used to grade.

Day 9: (9/21-9/22)

TODAY"S LESSON IS ASYNCHRONOUS. MEANING THERE IS NO GOOGLE MEET. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO WORK DURING CLASS TIME ON THE EXPECTED ITEMS BELOW:

1. (30 mins of class) FINISH Rough Draft of your Destination Postcard and Turn in Progress TODAY

2. (Rest of Class) Begin your FINAL DRAFT of the Multicultural project Destination Postcard.

a. Determine the style of your final product- digital or paper version

b. Begin to create, decorate the postcard and airplane. Digital products should be taking an image of the airplane.

c. Review the rubric used to grade.

d. FINAL DRAFT DUE NEXT CLASS!!!
