West Lane Singers

West Lane Singers is an after-school, extra-curricular choir for 3rd and 4th-grade students. This is a volunteer, non-auditioned choir, but make no mistake that we will work hard and learn lots of music!

The West Lane Singers meet weekly in the West Lane Elementary Music room from 3:30-5:00 pm on most Thursdays. All 3rd & 4th-grade students will have an invitation letter sent home.

This is a beginning-level choir that will have several performance opportunities in the Southeast area, as well as walking tours to share our music with those who live at Jackson Manor Retirement Home (Official dates TBD) and singing the National Anthem at a several JJHS sporting events, as well other possible local events. We even have a collaborative concert in the Spring with some of the elementary choirs!

Students who wish to be choir members will be expected to follow the West Lane Elementary code of conduct during all practices and performances. Any student displaying major discipline challenges will not be permitted to remain in the choir.

Choir members are expected to be:

 A respectful, positive, and encouraging teammate.

 Open to learning new and different music styles.

 Ready to listen, follow directions, and most of all, ready to SING the moment he/she walks in the door.
