Please note the NCAA now refers to the Clearinghouse as the Eligibility Center. These are the exact same organizations.

You must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse because:

• If you are going to play NCAA DI or DII athletics you have to be cleared by the NCAA
• You can't receive official scholarship offers until you have registered
• You can't go on official visits unless you have registered
• All NCAA coaches use the Clearinghouse/Eligibility Center to verify your academics

You need to remember that the NCAA Eligibility Center is not a recruiting agency or service, your registration does not mean that any college will be interested in recruiting you.

When should students register?

Students may register at any time, but we recommend that they register during their sophomore year. The registration website is www.eligibilitycenter.org. The NCAA Eligibility Center will evaluate a student's academic credentials once the following information has been received, and the student has had his/her status requested by an NCAA member institution:

• Completed online registration
• Fee payment
• SAT and/or ACT test score on file from the respective testing agency
• Transcript(s) from all schools or programs attended

Academic Records - you will need official copies of all of your academic records. If you have attended multiple schools in high school you will need the official records from each school. International athletes from non-English speaking countries will need to have their documents translated by an official translator.

NCAA Eligibility Center Fee Waiver:

• Student-Athletes who believe that they qualify for a waiver of registration fees should in the first instance approach their guidance counselor.
