Vibrational and Ultra-fast Laser Spectroscopies for BiomedicineTiago Magalhães obtained his PhD at U. Lisboa, where he designed and experimentally validated an optical interferometric space-based instrument. He then did a post-doc at U. Porto, where he built an ultrafast laser oscillator and a pulse shaper for nonlinear optical microscopy. Currently, he is a research fellow in the Ultrafast Bio- and Nanophotonics group at INL, where he is dedicated to the design, nanofabrication, and optical characterization of photonic integrated circuits for biosensing applications.
Research Topics: Ultrafast and nonlinear optics, Ultrafast spectroscopy, Multiphoton microscopy, Integrated Photonics, Optical sensors
