Joaquim Anacleto graduated in Physics – applied physics and electronics branch in 1984 at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto (FCUP). He obtained his PhD in Physics in 2000 in the field of Fiber Optic Amplifiers, at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). Presently, he is assistant professor with habilitation at Physics Department, at UTAD. He works in conceptual issues of physics, namely in the areas of thermodynamics and electromagnetism. His research deals with discussion of concepts and their implications in physics education and physics teaching and learning.
