Advanced Energy MaterialsCarlos Miguel Callaty Garcia is a student in the Doctoral Program in Physical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, having graduated and completed his master's degree in physical engineering at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. His work focuses on triboelectric nanogenerators energy harvesters, which convert mechanical into electrical energy. This energy harvester has great potential to mitigate e-waste and turn small applications (wearables, sensors, floating buoys, etc) self-powered. In more detail, the work focuses on studying triboelectric nanogenerators' performance in different temperature and humidity environments.
Research Topics: self-powered devices, triboelectric nanogenerators, energy harvesting
