Bogdan specialises in the advanced structural analysis of materials through X-ray-based methods. His research focuses on the design and analysis of metal-based coatings with multilayer architecture, such as CrN/MoN, TiN/MoN, and ZrN/CrN, as well as advanced alloys and ceramics with enhanced physical and mechanical properties for applications under extreme conditions. Bogdan co-organises scientific conferences, actively promotes collaboration, open science and access to research infrastructure.
