Afonso Oliveira’s research focused is on the improvement (development) of nanostructured multilayer thin films, obtained by electrochemical anodization.The purpose of his work is to reach efficient and scalable photoelectrochemical cells for hydrogen production, where the main materials used are hematite and titanium dioxide.
