Description: The Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) model provides a trauma-informed, trauma-sensitive framework for reducing high-risk interventions and improving student outcomes by addressing social and emotional needs. Designed to help schools prevent and de-escalate crises, manage challenging behaviors safely, and teach adaptive coping strategies, TCIS supports the development of a safe, responsive learning environment. Its primary goal is to both support and teach, aligning with standards from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
