Description: Teachers will discover their why of wanting to get students outside for learning. Teachers will have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks on creating and setting up their outdoor classroom. This would include creating outdoor learning expectations and routines for their students to kick off the year! In addition, teachers will have support on finding places in their day to day schedule to get outside for learning experiences.

Description: Children are biologically driven to play in risky ways outdoors. Risky play is play that is exciting and thrilling yet involves the potential for injury. This form of play is powerful and beneficial to children, but how do you facilitate risky play in a manageable way? How do you talk to children, and parents, about risky play? How do you decide what to say 'yes' to? Together we’ll answer these questions and help you leave with a path for how to facilitate and manage risky play within your own setting.
