A referral form should be completed if there are concerns regarding your child's:
Articulation (production of Speech sounds),
Language skills (the way your student understands what is said or how they express themselves),
Fluency (repetition of sounds or words when they speak),
Vocal quality (hoarseness, pitch or tone)
Pragmatics (Social Skills)
Referral forms can be completed by the teacher or by the parent. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to complete a referral form. Students are observed and if deemed necessary will go through district procedures to be screened. Once screened it will be determined if there is a need for further testing according to Greenville County Criteria.
*** If your child has received services elsewhere (another district instate or out of state, or private therapy services) please bring in a copy of the paperwork from that service provider as soon as possible. This will help speed up the process of possible services in Greenville County.
