I graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida with a Master's Degree in Communicative Disorders in 1994. While in Florida, I worked for an Early Intervention Center for 13 years and worked with children with various exceptionalities including, Speech and Language Delays/Disorders, Autism/PDD, Down Syndrome, hearing and vision deficits and oral motor/feeding deficits. Since moving to South Carolina, I have worked in the Elementary School setting for the past 17 years. I love being a part of the Simpsonville Elementary family! I am very excited to begin my 18th year in Greenville County.
I married my high school sweetheart (31 years ago this summer) and we have two wonderful children! We moved to Greenville in 2007 for a change of pace and a change of seasons. We love being outdoors, especially when it's cooler. The fall colors have been amazing and the "snow days" have been a bonus although we have missed out on actual snow for the past few years. The heat of the summers remind us of Florida all too often. We love our family time together! We are sports junkies so you can often find us cheering on our favorite teams at the stadium or on television. We have adopted the Clemson Tigers as our new favorite "home" team! We will always cheer for UCF from afar!
